Look at big-picture issues such as character development and story structure.
Make sure that the writing is as clear as it possibly can be, both on a sentence-by-sentence level and in the larger context of the manuscript
Ensuring there are no continuity errors or loose ends
Fix descriptive inconsistencies of characters, locations, etc.;
Check for spelling, grammar, and capitalization;
Revise word usage, repetition, and dialogue tags;
Improve text formatting (e.g. use of bold and italics);
Refine page layout (e.g. paragraph breaks and dialogue structure);
Fix unintentional POV/tense shifts.

WERE DO WE BEGIN
First things first, don't be nervous. We'll start with a free consultation to determine your editing needs (and if we'll make great collaborators). Email me the first chapter of your manuscript and I will complete a sample edit for you to consider if my style of editing is what you are looking for.
WHAT ARE MY PRICES?
All edits are $.007 per word ($7 per 1000 words). Other services, such as Beta Reading will be negotiated based on the length of the book or series.
For rush edits there is an additional $75 fee.
HOW LONG DOES AN ENGAGEMENT LAST?
Timelines depend on the size and difficulty of the project, but turnaround time is typically between 7-10 days, with the possibility of an extension based the project. I keep a constant line of communication open until the project is complete. I am always available for any questions after we've completed our edits, the door is never shut.
If you find yourself in a bind and need a 5 day or under turnaround there will be a $75 convenience fee.
WHAT KIND OF BOOKS DO YOU EDIT?
The genres I typically edit are romance and women's fiction but I will edit other genres. I am an avid reader, enjoying many genres such as: romance, horror, action, fantasy, thriller, science fiction, etc....
